What is Senior Sidekick?
When we went through the pandemic together and the senior living communities were closed to the public, I realized there was an urgent need for our seniors to have companionship during that time. Loneliness has many negative factors towards one’s health and overall well-being. With this being said, I decided to be proactive about it and find a way to bring companionship and comfort to our local seniors by creating a program that is part of my company’s service by providing companionship to seniors that involves more than visiting with them in his/her home. By the grace of God, I was inspired to initiate Senior Sidekick. Senior Sidekick is a paid companionship service.
The company would provide companionship to the client by offering to attend with the client the following areas:
-
-
- Restaurants
- Coffee/Tea
- Movie Theater
- Sports Games
- Plays/Theater
- Symphony/Opera/Concerts
- Church/Bible Studies
- Parties/Events
- Outdoor Activities
- Conversation
- Senior Centers
- Doctor Appointments
-
There are times when people do not have someone to attend a function with them, or they would like to try something new and do not have the company to do so. Senior Sidekick’s sole purpose is to provide that companionship which encompasses good conversation, laughter and fond memories for the client. You may ask yourself why you would hire my company to provide this service for you or a loved one. My entire career has been involved with seniors from being a long-term care administrator to providing
companionship to seniors via hospice and private duty care. My passion for the senior population led me to create the company, Senior Living Guidance, and be a resource for all senior needs.
To inquire more about this program for a loved one or yourself, please complete an inquiry on the company’s website, email the company at SeniorLivingGuidanceMO@gmail.com, or call the company at 417-496-5834.
Senior Sidekick is an hourly rate. The only areas the program serves currently is Springfield, Nixa, Ozark, and Rogersville. If the company must transport the client in the company’s vehicle the client would have to pay for mileage at the current IRS rate. Any outings that require a fee/charge the client would be responsible for covering the company’s presence. The client would need to sign an agreement between client and company outlining said services, fees, and waiving any liability concerns before services are initiated. Senior Sidekick does not provide any medical care as well as assistance with lifting the client.
